La réussite à la fin du M1 concerne également un tiers environ des étudiants inscrits. D’autre part beaucoup de ces étudiants se destinent aux métiers de l’enseignement, en s’inscrivant à nos préparations aux concours du CAPES et de l’agrégation d’arabe. L’intégration à notre master de cette préparation nous a conduit à demander à titre d’évolution principale la création de la spécialité « enseignement et formation », à côté de la spécialité « Recherche ». Pour assurer aux étudiants des passerelles professionnelles, nous créons une spécialité professionnelle « Tourisme, langues et patrimoine en « Développement Durable », spécialité commune aux autres masters aires culturelles de notre UFR. Paris et Lyon ont une préparation aux concours du CAPES et de l’agrégation d’arabe. Aix-en-Provence complète harmonieusement l’offre nationale pour les métiers de l’enseignement et de la formation en arabe. La présence de l’<a href="http://iremam.cnrs.fr/" target="_blank">IREMAM</a> à Aix-en-Provence en fait un lieu privilégié pour les recherches sur les Mondes arabe musulman et hamito-sémitique. Ce centre est internationalement reconnu et bénéficie de nombreux accords avec les lieux de recherche dans les Mondes arabe musulman et hamito-sémitique. Il bénéficie également d’importants fonds documentaires regroupés dans une médiathèque d’envergure internationale. Ces éléments, auxquels il est possible d’ajouter la présence des Archives d’Outremer, font d’Aix-en-Provence un lieu très favorable pour une spécialité « Recherche ». STRUCTURE ET ORGANISATION La mention comporte 3 spécialités et autant de parcours que de langues enseignées: Spécialité Recherche en Langue et Culture arabe, musulmane et hamito-sémitique (finalité recherche), Spécialité Enseignement et formation en Arabe (EFA) (finalité recherche et professionnelle), Spécialité Tourisme, Langues et Patrimoine en Développement Durable (TLP) (finalité professionnelle). <a href="http://iremam.cnrs.fr/" target="_blank"><img src="http://iremam.cnrs.fr/plugins/kitcnrs_407/images/iremam.jpg" alt="http://iremam.cnrs.fr/plugins/kitcnrs_407/images/iremam.jpg" width="84" height="93" align="left" /></a>CONTENU - CONNAISSANCES À ACQUÉRIR Le Master « Mondes arabe, musulman et hamito-sémitique » vise à apporter aux étudiants des connaissances d’un niveau expert sur ces aires culturelles. Les connaissances linguistiques à la sortie du cursus doivent être de niveau C1/C2 (comprendre sans effort, s'exprimer spontanément) pour l’arabe. Pour les autres langues vivantes, le niveau visé est B2/C1 (s'exprimer spontanément et couramment, assez bonne maîtrise). L’étude de la linguistique est au niveau des programmes de l’Agrégation d’arabe avec une ouverture forte en grammaire comparée. Pour les connaissances disciplinaires, une forte spécialisation est exigée en civilisation et en littérature. Le Master favorise l’interdisciplinarité chez les étudiants. Toutes les disciplines représentées à l’<a href="http://iremam.cnrs.fr/" target="_blank">IREMAM</a> sont sollicitées : Anthropologie (Maghreb, Monde berbère, Corne de l’Afrique) Anthropologie politique (Palestine, Liban), Assyriologie, Droit, Épigraphie arabe, Études hébraïques et sémitiques, Géographie (Maghreb, Sahara), Histoire médiévale, Histoire moderne et contemporaine (Égypte, Levant, Maghreb, Machrek, Soudan), Histoire ottomane, Langue et littérature arabes, Langue et littérature berbères, Langues et littératures de l’Orient ancien, Langue et littérature persanes, Linguistique arabe, Relations internationales, Science politique (Maghreb, Machrek), Sociolinguistique de l’arabe, Sociologie (Maghreb) Sociologie (Immigration), Sociologie urbaine (Maghreb). On doit y ajouter les Études du domaine linguistique et culturel arménien, partie intégrante de l’aire proche-orientale. Les étudiants peuvent y bénéficier de séjours et de collaborations avec les centres de recherches français : IFPO, CEDEJ, CFRJ, … Outre la médiathèque de la MMSH, les étudiants ont accès à la Bibliothèque Universitaire qui abrite le CADIST. Ils peuvent aussi travailler aux archives nationales d’Outremer. L’Ecole doctorale qui lui fait suite a 50 inscrits dans cette mention en 2009/2010. Cela fait d’Aix-en-Provence le premier centre « Recherche » en France après Paris. Pour la spécialité « EFA », Aix-en-Provence est un centre essentiel en France pour préparer les concours d’enseignement. Seuls deux autres centres existent en France: Paris et Lyon. En 2009, Aix-en-France a obtenu 50% des postes à l’agrégation d’arabe, ainsi que le major du CAPES. La création de cette spécialité permet d’offrir une préparation aux concours sur deux ans. La préparation s’en trouve grandement valorisée. Pour la spécialité en création « TLP », il y a un conseil de perfectionnement commun aux autres masters qui ont cette spécialité. Il se réunit au moins une fois par an pour tirer le bilan de la période écoulée et pour réfléchir sur les perspectives d’évolution de la formation et sur son adaptation au marché du travail. Elle est particulièrement adaptée à la Région PACA dont le tourisme est l’une des premières activités économiques.
